Nick Kounis leads the financial markets and sustainability research teams at Group Economics. This involves a diverse set of research areas. From the outlook for the ECB, interest rates and various asset classes on the one hand, to climate and transition scenarios and ESG analysis of economies and markets on the other. He is also a member of the bank’s Global Investment Committee.

Nick has worked in various roles involving macroeconomics and market analysis at financial institutions for more than 20 years. Previous to that, he advised on economic policy at HM Treasury in London.
