Joost is part of the Financial Markets Research Team. He is primarily responsible for covered bonds and focuses on the Euro market and in particular on the Dutch market. 

Joost was a member of the International Economic Research Team of Fortis Global Markets and was a policy advisor to the Central Bank of the Netherlands Antilles for almost seven years.  

From 1993 to 1998 he studied Economics at the University of Amsterdam.
