Nick Kounis is Chief Economist at Group Economics of ABN AMRO Bank.
As the Head of Group Economics, Nick leads the bank’s research on the economy and financial markets. The group provides independent research to support the bank’s clients as well as the bank internally and consists of economists, investment strategists and data scientists. Nick is also a member of the bank’s Global Investment Committee. He has worked in various roles involving macroeconomics and financial market analysis at financial institutions for more than 25 years. Previous to that, he advised on economic policy at HM Treasury in London. He graduated from Durham University in the United Kingdom.
