ABN AMRO Sponsoring

The future belongs to everyone

Reaching the top in sports, being able to share your work of art with a wide audience or helping to make the world a better place with your sustainable idea: everyone has dreams for the future. And, for most people, dreams do come true if only you work hard enough on achieving them. That is not a given for everyone, however, and it is these people we stand behind. After all, we believe in equal opportunities for all, and not just in ten years’ time, but as soon as possible.

Through sponsoring we want to bring dreams and goals closer faster, for everyone. Our commitment to this idea is reflected in sports, in the arts and in a wide range of activities that benefit society. Our efforts go far beyond funding, too: the focus is on facilitating coaching, networking and knowledge transfer.

We develop sports programmes like the Club of the Future, aimed at making field hockey clubs more sustainable and inclusive. We help museums and festivals to become more sustainable and to exhibit equal representation, and we support programmes of cultural education.

There’s still a lot more to be done. By being a sponsorship partner of individuals and organisations that share this mission, we can all move faster and accomplish more. With this approach, we help you shape your future the way you want it.

Winning on multiple fronts

We are the proud main sponsor of women’s elite football team AFC Ajax Vrouwen and no fewer than eight top-league field hockey clubs and 55 local hockey clubs. Through these collaborations, we are working to make sports ever more inclusive and sustainable. We are also the founder and main sponsor of the ABN AMRO Open, the new name of this ATP 500 tennis tournament at Rotterdam Ahoy. The wheelchair tennis tournament held at the same time will also continue under this title.

Making art and culture accessible to the wider public

We believe it is important that everyone can experience art and culture, and that artistic talent can be discovered and developed, so that future generations can also enjoy art and culture. And this is one reason why we are partnering with institutions like H’ART Museum (formerly Hermitage Amsterdam), the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam, and the Singer Laren museum, and working closely with WOMEN Inc, to promote equality in the culture sector.

Impact on tomorrow’s generations

We aim to help increase social inclusion. How? We work with the Esther Vergeer Foundation to give all children with disabilities the opportunity to do sports. Through our partnership with the Youth Sports & Culture Fund (Jeugdfonds Sport & Cultuur) we give children in disadvantaged situations a chance to engage in sports, music and dance or to develop their creativity in other ways.
