Move faster, accomplish more
As a bank with millions of clients in the Netherlands, we are firmly rooted in society. Wefeel it’s important that all the people who make up this society have equal opportunities. There’s no denying that some people already have a disadvantage before they even get started. Like if you are a woman in a world dominated by men, for example, or if you have a disability. Then you really have a lot to overcome. We believe in a world where barriers and obstacles make way for opportunities, whatever your goals in life are.
Through sponsoring we want to bring dreams and goals closer faster, for everyone. Our commitment to this idea is reflected in sports, in the arts, and in a wide range of sustainable and socially inclusive activities. Our efforts go far beyond funding too: our conviction canclearly be seen in how we facilitate coaching, networking and knowledge transfer.
We develop sports programmes like the Club of Tomorrow, aimed at making field hockey clubs more sustainable and inclusive. We help museums and festivals to become more sustainable and to exhibit equal representation, and we support programmes of cultural education.
There’s still a lot more to be done. By being a sponsorship partner of like-minded individuals and organisations, we can all move faster and accomplish more. With this approach, we help you shape the future the way you want it.
Winning on all fronts in sports
As the proud main sponsor of women’s elite football team AFC Ajax Vrouwen and no fewer than seven top-league field hockey clubs and 55 local hockey clubs, we are working to make sports ever more sustainable and inclusive. We are also the founder and main sponsor of the ABN AMRO Open, the new name of this ATP 500-tournament at Rotterdam Ahoy. The wheelchair tennis tournament held at the same time will also continue under this title.
Making art and culture accessible to the wider public
We believe it is important that everyone can experience art and culture, and that artistic talent can be discovered and developed, so that future generations can also enjoy art and culture. And this is one reason why we are partnering with institutions like H’ART Museum (formerly Hermitage Amsterdam), the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam, and the Singer Laren museum, and working closely with WOMEN Inc, to promote equality in the culture sector.
Impact on tomorrow’s generations
We are committed to leaving the coming generations a cleaner, fairer world and to increasing social inclusion. How? By working with our partners to accelerate social impact. We work with the Esther Vergeer Foundation to give all children with disabilities the opportunity to do sports. Through our partnership with the Youth Sports & Culture Fund (Jeugdfonds Sport & Cultuur) we help children in disadvantaged situations move forward by giving them a chance to engage in sports, music and dance or to develop their creativity in other ways.
